Stroke Distinction

Accreditation Stroke Survey taking place October 25-27, 2021

Stroke Distinction huddle

From the Neurological Rehabilitation Team and the Quality, Risk and Patient Safety Department

Over the course of the last six months the Neuro Team, in partnership with Quality, Risk and Patient Safety and many of our support departments have been preparing for the Accreditation Stroke Survey taking place virtually, and in-person, between October 25 and October 27, 2021. We thank all of those who have participated to date, for the tremendous effort put forth.

The planning and preparation that has occurred has positioned us well to welcome surveyors and to demonstrate the care and services provided to patients at West Park through the following of policies and best practices. As you’re aware, the Stroke program will be assessed on the quality of care provided through the adherence to the Accreditation Canada standards and protocols and our intention is to maintain the Stroke Distinction Accreditation Designation upon the completion of the survey.

We are confident that our team will represent the Stroke program well throughout the accreditation survey process.  Should you have any questions, please feel free to contact: Rachna Chaudhary, Clinical Manager, ABIBS and Neuro/3EC inpatient units. Email: Rachna.chaudhary@westpark.org
