Leanna Lee completed her doctoral studies in the Institute of Medical Science, Faculty of Medicine at the University of Toronto in August of 2019. She had the privilege of conducting her research under the tutelage of Dr Dina Brooks and Dr Paul Oh at the University Health Network, Toronto Rehabilitation Institute, Cardiovascular Prevention and Rehabilitation Program. Her recent research endeavors focused on optimizing exercise-based cardiac rehabilitation for women with heart disease, and in capturing the women’s experiences surrounding exercise training modalities. She is currently working as a research coordinator at West Park Health Care Centre, where she has expanded her research interests to include amputee rehabilitation and understanding the transition pathway from acute to long-term care in ventilator assisted individuals.
