Sanaa Alsubheen

Sanaa AlsubheenDr. Sanaa Alsubheen has completed a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Jordan, a Master of Science degree in Kinesiology, Exercise and Work physiology, from Memorial University of Newfoundland, and a Ph.D. in Rehabilitation Sciences, Physical Therapy field, from Western University, London, ON. Dr. Alsubheen is interested in investigating the effectiveness of different rehabilitation interventions for managing patients with chronic diseases. During her Ph.D., she focused on the association between diabetes and musculoskeletal disorders and the effect of physiotherapeutic interventions for managing shoulder disorders in patients with diabetes.

Currently, Dr. Alsubheen is working as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at McMaster University. She is focusing on investigating the effectiveness of rehabilitation interventions for managing patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) such as pulmonary rehabilitation and balance training and the outcome measures to assess these interventions.
