West Park’s vision for an Integrated Campus of Care extends to housing and related services for seniors and people with disabilities
West Park is taking a major step towards achieving our vision for an integrated Campus of Care by signing an Offer to Lease Agreement with Amico Properties Inc. This agreement will allow Amico to develop five acres of land at the east end of the West Park campus.
The new buildings will include a mix of housing, community-based services, retail and other potential types of development for seniors and persons with disabilities. This will also benefit the neighbourhood and surrounding community.
The selection of Amico was the result of an open, competitive bidding process overseen by an external transaction adviser. Amico is a corporation currently involved in land development and construction throughout Ontario, with extensive expertise in the development of healthcare and residential projects.
Amico brings significant experience in building complex and highly visible projects including retirement homes, long-term care homes and facilities for Family Health Teams. They have successfully engaged neighbourhood and community groups through positive relationship building.
