Request for Offer issued to lease Non-Hospital Development Zone

West Park Healthcare Centre issues a Request for Offer (RFO) to lease the Non-Hospital Development zone, a five-acre portion of the hospital’s campus intended to offer housing and related services for seniors and persons with disabilities. The revenue generated will contribute to West Park's local share cost of a new Hospital.

The Business Case
June 2009
West Park submits its 800-page "Business Case for Campus Redevelopment" to the Health Capital Investment Branch of the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care. It provides details on site and building plans, a fundraising strategy and other operational issues. The business case was approved in 2010.
Business Case Grant
June 2008
West Park took an important step towards redevelopment with a $3-million planning and development grant from the Ontario Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care. The grant, announced by York South-Weston MPP Laura Albanese, allowed West Park to prepare a business case.

Zoning Approval

Toronto City Council approves zoning changes that will permit West Park to expand the hospital and construct mixed-use buildings on the five acres of ancillary lands.
