Painting of Main Entrance Canopy

Main Entrance Canopy

What’s happening?

From Tuesday, October 13 to Friday, October 16, EllisDon will be painting the underside of the canopy outside the main entrance. Please note since the painting will be weather dependent, the dates may change.

A fence will be set-up around the work zone. There will be two phases of work that will have varying impacts including the flow of people entering and exiting the Main Building.

What's the impact?

Phase I: Tuesday, October 13 and Wednesday, October 14 (Weather permitting)

Outside of the main entrance, a fence will be set-up on the north side. This will have the following impacts:

  • Patients and visitors will continue to enter and exit through the main entrance.
  • Staff will continue to enter through the Staff Entrance.
  • The Canada Post mailbox will not be in service for two days.

Phase II: Thursday, October 15 to Friday, October 16 (Weather permitting)

Outside of the main entrance, the fence will shift from the north to south side. This will have the following impacts:

  • All patients, staff and visitors will enter through the Main Entrance. But since the fencing will block the exit of the main entrance, all patients, staff and visitors will exit through the Staff Entrance. Signs will be posted to direct the change.

  • The newspaper stands will be moved temporarily closer to the Staff Entrance.
  • The bike rack will still be accessible.
