A Respirologist, Clinical Researcher and Director of Respiratory Medicine at West Park Healthcare Centre - Dr. Roger Goldstein is an internationally renowned expert in pulmonary rehabilitation and the management of chronic respiratory diseases. As a medical Specialist, he provides in-patient and out-patient services across the full spectrum of care for individuals who require ongoing mechanical assistance to help them breathe.

As a Professor of Medicine and Physical Therapy at the University of Toronto, Dr. Goldstein devotes a considerable amount of time to research, teaching and education to locally and internationally trained medical residents and research fellows. At West Park Healthcare Centre, he has been instrumental in supporting the narrative that “good clinical care in any sector is augmented by good clinical research”. With more than 120 research publications, Dr. Goldstein values the importance of bringing research from the bench to the bed-side.

In addition to providing clinical services onsite, Dr. Goldstein is Chair of the Centre’s Research and Education Council which guides the Centre’s academic/research strategy, and serves as Director for the Divisional Program in Respiratory Rehab at the University of Toronto.
