Physiatrist, Amputee and Musculoskeletal Rehabilitation

Dr. Dilkas is a staff physician in the Centre’s Amputee Rehabilitation service and also provides care to high performance athletes (able-bodied and Paralympic).

In addition to his work at West Park, Dr. Dilkas is a Sports Medicine Physician, Canadian Sport Institute of Ontario. He also is the team physician for the Canadian Wheelchair Curling Team, Wheelchair Basketball Canada (men’s and women’s teams, national academy) and Swimming Canada at the High Performance Centre. His sports medicine expertise led to appointments as the Lead Physician, Aquatics, 2015 Pan American Games; Lead Sport Medicine Physician, Athletes’ Village Polyclinic, 2015 Parapan American Games; and co-Chief Medical Officer, 2017 Invictus Games. He is also an Assistant Professor, Division of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Department of Medicine, University of Toronto.
