Daniel Simunac

Daniel is the Managing Director & Principal Officer of Raymond James Bank’s Canadian operations, focused on providing Corporate Banking solutions.  Prior to this, Daniel co-founded and managed Allied Irish Bank’s Canadian operations, where he held a similar position. In 2011, he brokered the sale of this division to Raymond James. Daniel’s other experience includes progressive roles at TD Bank/TD Securities, Sun Life Financial, Travelers, and a U.S.-based private equity fund. He has over a dozen years of financial services experience in a variety of areas including lending, investment and advisory work.

As an active member of the banking/investment community, Daniel has spoken at various industry conferences, including: RealCapital, the Canadian Apartment Investment Conference, the Montreal Real Estate Forum, among others. He has been a guest lecturer at the Schulich School of Business and has authored a research paper on behalf of the Real Property Association of Canada on the topic of private equity funds. Currently, he is a former member of the Executive Advisory Board for Queens University’s Program on Commercial and Investment Real Estate.

Daniel’s education consists of a Bachelor's degree from the Faculty of Engineering (Architecture) at Ryerson University and an MBA from the Schulich School of Business at York University. He is a member of the Institute of Corporate Directors and graduate of the Directors Education Program completed at the Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto.
