| Qualifications | - Current Certificate of Competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Diploma in Nursing
- Current BCLS is required
- BScN preferred
- ACLS trained an asset
- Current certificate in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (BCLS) required
- Physical assessment course completed within the last 5 years or be committed to enrolling in a physical assessment course at a recognized community college 6 months from date of hire or as assessed as required.
- Previous experience in neurological rehabilitation, including ABI and behaviour management
- Minimum 1 year experience with demonstrated education and knowledge of rehabilitation concepts and practice
- Capable of independent decision-making with regard to implementing nursing specific treatments
- Excellent assessment and clinical skills
- Strong critical thinking skills
- Good knowledge of computer technology
- Demonstrated skill in reflective practice
- Demonstrated skill in providing client focused care
- Effective communication skills including conflict resolution
- Demonstrated flexibility and adaptability
- Effective team player within the transdisciplinary team and demonstrated ability to work with others including clients and their families
- Demonstrated leadership skills including creative problem solving, sound judgement and organizational abilities
