  • Secondary school diploma
  • C.S.A.O. Central Service Technicians Certificate
  • CMDRT or Centennial Course preferred
  • 2 years related experience working in a CSR department preferred
  • Working knowledge of inventory and quota control an asset
  • Ability to work effectively with all levels of staff and within a team
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision
  • Evidence of good performance history and attendance record

Responsibilities
  • Maintain an ongoing and appropriate supply of equipment
  • Collect, decontaminate, package and sterilize equipment according to C.S.A. standards and the Ministry of Health PIDAC best practice guidelines
  • Assemble required supplies and instruments including setting up and wrapping trays for autoclaving
  • Responsible for the delivery and re-stocking to established inventory levels of sterilized supplies and equipment to all nursing units and clinical departments
  • Re-stock and delivery sterilized supplies and equipment to all nursing units and clinical departments to established inventory levels
  • Monitor sterile and non-sterile supplies within the CSR department.
  • General cleaning of both preparation and decontamination areas within the CSR department; operation and on-going maintenance of all CSR equipment.
