  • 5 years experience in private sector rehabilitation management, clinical or medical office setting

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for ensuring that assessments taking place at any of WPACs satellite office locations follow outlined protocols and procedures in terms of administrative and ancillary service requirements. This includes, but is not limited to, transporting file information for assessors, ensuring consent and other appropriate forms are signed and/or completed as required, returning dictation and/or invoices, ensuring transportation, interpretation and chaperone services are provided as required, maintaining appropriate quantities of supplies/equipment, as well as liaising with WPAC Assessors, Staff and Intake & Clinical Coordination Manager as required.
  • Represent WPAC in a professional manner at all times, including communicating with a variety of stakeholders i.e. Claimants, Assessors, Physicians, Insurers and Service Providers, with a competent ability to problem solve and resolve issues as they occur in consultation with Manager.
  • Represent WPAC at Herrold & Vernon EvalWorks (company that WPAC has strategic alliance with re: Satellite locations) offices and ensure adherence to negotiated contract (report any deviances as necessary). Communicating with Herrold &Vernon EvalWorks staff regarding schedule up-dates, vacation coverage and other data to ensure smooth operations in manned offices.
  • Responsible for weekly review (Friday afternoon) of Assessment Schedule in conjunction with Manager to ensure pro-active / strategic measures are instituted as required to ensure seamless satellite office assessments are conducted. Flexible hours are mandatory to ensure appropriate coverage at satellite offices.
  • Liaise with Intake Department and Assessors regarding assessments as required. Must carry a cell phone and be available to address assessor concerns pertaining to satellite offices after hours and on weekends, as required, in consultation with Manager.
  • Accurate preparation of Directions to Assessors for IE referrals. Clear assessment focus / questions posed to Assessors are essential to report outcome. Accurate distribution of Directions to Assessors via e-mail, SecureDocs and WIN.
  • Accurate preparation and distribution of Paper Review Templates for IE referrals for all disciplines.
  • Perform all Intake Coordinator components of scheduling for Addendums and Rebuttals.
  • Understanding and ensuring legislative timeframes with respect to Intake tasks/functions are carried out in a timely manner to avoid financial ramifications for the Assessment Centre.
  • Other duties as assigned by Manager (may include but not be limited to):
  • Attendance at Industry Events, Insurance Companies, etc.
  • Vacation Coverage for Intake Positions
